Atty. Joseph B. Sia brings 27 years of dedicated legal practice to Manuel Ventura & Partners (MVP) Law Firm, combining extensive experience in government service, complex litigation, and multi-disciplinary legal work across the Philippine justice system. A Far Eastern University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Juris Doctor from FEU College of Law, his commercial background informs strategic counsel on business-related disputes and transactions. His progressive career began in 1992 as City Legal Officer III of Quezon City, advancing to City Legal Officer IV in 1995 before joining the Public Attorney's Office in 1996, where he served for 26 years until September 2022, establishing himself as a seasoned litigator with deep expertise in criminal law, constitutional matters, and public interest advocacy.
His practice at Manuel Ventura & Partners (MVP) Law Firm, focuses on Criminal Law, Civil Litigation, and Labor Law. Atty. Sia's extensive background in government service and litigation experience position him to handle complex disputes, criminal defense matters, and employment-related issues with strategic insight and principled advocacy, bringing invaluable expertise in courtroom dynamics, criminal procedure, and the nuances of navigating the Philippine legal system.
Atty. Manuel Angelo B. Ventura III
Founder & Managing Partner
Atty. Manuel Angelo B. Ventura III serves as the Managing Lawyer and Founder of the firm. He laid his academic foundation at Silliman University, where he earned his undergraduate degree, before receiving his Juris Doctor from the historic University of Santo Tomas (UST). Admitted to the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) in the year 2010, Atty. Ventura has established himself as a trial advocate of exceptional caliber, defined above all by his commanding mastery of defense lawyering, constitutional safeguards, and immigration law. His practice encompasses cross-border visa matters, deportation defense, and alien status adjustments, alongside General Litigation, Family Law, Estate Planning, and Civil Law with special emphasis on Obligations and Contracts. Beyond court proceedings and immigration tribunals, Atty. Ventura acts as a trusted advisor on complex corporate matters and trade regulation, offering clients aggressive defense and well-rounded institutional counsel.
Atty. Ma. Fatimah V. Villanueva
Junior Partner
Atty. Ma. Fatimah V. Villanueva graduated with honors in 2012 from the University of Santo Tomas majoring in AB Political Science and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of the East where she actively volunteered in assisting indigents in navigating the legal processes and providing them with the necessary representation from 2014 to 2016 through the University of the East – Legal Aid Clinic.
Upon admission to the Philippine Bar in 2018, her early exposure and training in litigation led her to focus and specialize in Criminal Law and Civil Law. Her subsequent experience in the mining industry likewise paved the way for her to delve into the intricacies of Labor Laws. At the same time, to give back to the community and to train future lawyers, Atty. Villanueva briefly headed the University of the East – Legal Aid Clinic, before finally settling into Manuel Ventura & Partners (MVP) Law Frim, as its Junior Partner.
Atty. Jemelle Coleen M. Uayan
Senior Lawyer Associate
Atty. Jemelle Uyaan is a Senior Associate in the Litigation and Advisory Practice at Manuel Ventura & Partners (MVP) Law Firm. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Santo Tomas and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of the East. Admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2022, she combines solid academic preparation with practical experience developed early in her legal career.
Prior to joining MVP in 2023, Atty. Uyaan gained substantive public sector experience through internships with the Office of the City Prosecutor in Marikina, where she developed foundational competencies in criminal procedure, case management, and prosecutorial strategy, and with the Department of Foreign Affairs' ASEAN Division, providing exposure to international legal frameworks and diplomatic considerations. At Manuel Ventura & Partners (MVP) Law Firm, she has built on this foundation to represent diverse clients across litigation, advisory, and transactional matters, bringing careful legal analysis and practical judgment to research memoranda, court submissions, and client advisory work. Her background spanning criminal procedure, civil litigation, family law, employment & labor relations, and private practice positions her to deliver rigorous legal work product grounded in real-world application.
Atty. Kate Olfhevern C. Lapira
Junior Lawyer Associate
Atty. Kate Lapira is a Junior Associate in our Litigation and Advisory Practice. She brings substantive experience in litigation support, legal research and analysis, and transactional drafting. Atty. Lapira approaches each engagement with meticulous attention to detail and a practical orientation toward client needs, developing research memoranda, pleadings, and advisory work product designed to advance her clients' strategic objectives.
Her background spans the breadth of litigation from comprehensive legal research and case analysis to drafting court submissions and advisory correspondence. This foundation enables her to provide clients with both rigorous legal analysis and pragmatic counsel grounded in real-world application.
